WE DESIGN LEARNING SYSTEMS THAT AFFIRM. CHALLENGE. ENCOURAGE. FLEX. WORK. LAST.
Everyone inside and outside of K-16 education blames “the system.” We redesigned it.
STEM+ Pathways
We pioneered Open Learning Architecture™ to reengineer academics for ages 13-20. Three STEM+ pathways are proof of concept, delivering coherent, rigorous, relevant learning. Break silos & open doors with our comprehensive, custom program.
Concept Construxions®
This patented system utilizes color & shape recognition to support healthy discourse, co-construction of knowledge, and critical thinking. Designed for coherence, it deepens conceptual understanding across disciplines & over time.
Professional Development
Immersive and individualized professional development is a cornerstone of our work. Job-embedded, ongoing PD supports successful implementation. The approach is seamless for teachers & leaders who are serious about change.

Catherine Saldutti will keynote the BC Science Roundtable event on May 22, 2026 at SUIS-Jiaoke Campus BC High. She will present “Science Brainfood: Disciplinary Literacy That Nourishes Learning.”
While literacy threads through all content areas, the pedagogies, protocols and practices that support science learning are somewhat different and should be honored accordingly. STEM competencies like questioning, analysis, experimental and engineering design, data work, and laboratory practices lie beneath those AI-generated answers on which some students rely. Disciplinary literacy strategies help students dig beneath the surface and take more ownership of their learning. Grounded in the sciences of learning and development, disciplinary literacy connects STEM rigor and relevance. Drawing from over 26 years of interdisciplinary science curricular designs, I’ll share some of my favorite tools that work for all secondary science subjects. We’ll use them to support students’ cognitive access to your content and bolster reading, writing, speaking and listening for STEM. Come to this session with a laptop and have a couple of hands-on laboratory assignments handy.

If you are now convinced that high schools need to modernize, you should learn about our Open Learning Architecture!
Over 25 years ago we began to question, dismantle, and then re-engineer multiple systems that better align with the modern flow of information, the neuroscience of learning, and the need for a global citizenry of lifelong learners. We’ve done 20 years of small-scale implementation of our STEM+ Pathways across a wide array of demographics inside public, private and international secondary schools (ages 13-20, Grades 8-14) in the USA, Malaysia, Japan, Brazil and Mexico.
Schedule a 30-minute webinar for yourself and/or a few team members. We’ll get the conversation started!

To support science & STEM teachers with high-quality materials and a modern approach, we built our Open Learning Architecture from the bottom up. Then we used it to:
Break down silos in formal science class to build a holistic, hyperconnected understanding of the natural world
Build a multi-year, coherent progression using research from the Sciences of Learning and Development (SoLD)
Teach SDGs through real-world global case studies & PBL
Systematically connect the personal, local & global through effective SEL-within-the-discipline
Engineer a practical, comprehensive, competency-based assessment model for high schools (CBE)
Tap the power of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Inclusive Technology Tools to support diverse learners
Deliver a Sustainable, digital OER (SOER) experience for students & teachers grounded in disciplinary literacy
Support teachers with ongoing PD while the program is established
